Our chapter of the NSDAR was founded in 1897. We celebrated our 110th anniversary in 2007. See our Chapter History page. In 2000, we acquired our chapter house, the historic Van Schaick Mansion, in Cohoes, New York. See our Chapter House page for details. We reorganized a Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) society and it was activated in 2003. See the C.A.R. page of the Van Schaick Mansion website.

Become a Chapter Member
If you have a Revolutionary War ancestor and are interested in local history, genealogy, patriotism or our schools, please contact our chapter registrar who will assist you with the
application process. Our members find our weekend meetings to be convient. We curently have members from teens to retirement age from all areas of the Capital District and beyond. Our chapter has a long
and distinguished history.
